🛡️ ClustrMaps Opt-Out Guide (2025-2026 Edition)

ClustrMaps is a public records search engine that displays addresses, phone numbers, and property ownership records. Removing your data from this site is essential for maintaining home and personal privacy.

📋 Overview

  • Processing Time: Usually immediate or within 48 hours.
  • Difficulty: Easy.
  • Requirement: Profile URL and an email address.

🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Find Your Profile URL

  1. Go to ClustrMaps.com.
  2. Use the search bar to search for yourself by Full Name or Home Address.
  3. Locate the correct listing that matches your details and click "View Details".
  4. Once the profile page opens, copy the URL from your browser's address bar. It will look like https://clustrmaps.com/person/John-Doe-xyz.

Step 2: Access the Opt-Out Form

  1. Scroll to the very bottom of the ClustrMaps homepage footer and click on "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" (or go directly to clustrmaps.com/bl/opt-out).

Step 3: Fill Out the Removal Request

  1. Enter your Full Name.
  2. Provide a valid email address (using a burner email is recommended).
  3. Paste the Profile URL you copied in Step 1.
  4. Enter your Physical Address exactly as it appears on the listing.
  5. Click the "Next Step" button.

Step 4: Select the Specific Data to Remove

  1. On the next screen, ClustrMaps will display a list of information (names, phone numbers, etc.) associated with that record.
  2. Tick all the checkboxes next to the items you want to be removed from public view.
  3. Click the "Apply" button.

Step 5: Final Verification

  1. You should see a confirmation message stating that your request has been submitted successfully.
  2. Unlike some other sites, ClustrMaps often processes these removals without a separate verification email, but you should still check your inbox just in case a confirmation link is sent.

💡 Pro-Tips for Notion Users

  • Status Tracking: Use a Notion checkbox or status property to mark this as Done once the record disappears.
  • Double Check: Search for your address/name again in 48 hours to confirm the listing is suppressed.
  • Related Sites: ClustrMaps data is often linked to PropertyShark or Zillow. If you find your home info there, you may need to repeat similar steps on those platforms.

Data brokers sometimes re-create profiles from new sources. We recommend setting a calendar reminder to check again in 3 months.
